Why a weekend-discovery app exists, and what we actually believe in.
It started with a scroll. Not a big one — just another Tuesday night, another reel of a waterfall two hours outside a city we'd never left that weekend.
We saved it, of course. That's what you do with a place like that — tuck it away for "someday," file it next to the four hundred other someday-places already gathering dust in a folder nobody opens.
Someday never came, and we started wondering why. It wasn't ambition we lacked — everyone we knew wanted to see more of the world, wake up somewhere unfamiliar, breathe air that didn't smell like a commute. It was something smaller and more stubborn: time. Not a shortage of it, exactly — a mismanagement of it. The kind where an entire Saturday disappears just deciding whether Saturday is even worth leaving the house for.
So we built the thing we actually wanted. A way to turn "someday" into "this weekend" without turning the deciding into its own second job. No spreadsheets. No eleven-tab research binge at midnight. No group chat that quietly dies the moment someone finally asks "so — where are we actually going?" Just the reel you already saved, a map that already knows how to get there, and a friend group that can agree on something, for once.
We believe in expanding horizons without the sweat — that seeing more of the world shouldn't cost you the free time you're trying to spend on it. That's the whole company, honestly. Everything else is implementation detail.

Why "Lighthouse"
A lighthouse doesn't tell a ship where to sail. It stands still, throws its light as far as it can, and trusts the person at the wheel to decide the rest. That's the whole philosophy compressed into one object: illuminate, don't instruct. Every pin on the map, every route we surface, every nudge we send is meant to be a beam of light on a place you didn't know was there — never a command about what to do with it.
Who's building this
Lighthouse is built out of Bangalore, by people who kept saving reels of places two hours away and kept not going. We're not a faceless product team chasing a metric — we're the exact user this app was built for, first. If something in here doesn't feel honest, tell us. It's probably a bug, not a feature.
